Barber Association Increases Haircut Price to Rs 200

The Nepal Barber Association has increased salon charges in Kathmandu Valley.

The valley committee of the association has issued an announcement stating that the new rates would be effective beginning from Asoj 1st.

The haircut charge will now be at least 200 rupees, according to the new rates. Previously, this cost was 150 rupees. Beard trimming costs between 120 and 200 rupees.

Similarly, the price of hair design has risen from 350 to 500 rupees, beard design has soared from 150 to 250 rupees, head massage has increased to 200 rupees, shampoo has risen from 120 to 150 rupees, and hair coloring has risen from 500 to 650 rupees, according to the association.

According to Rajesh Thakur, president of the association’s Kathmandu district committee, there has been a general increase in salon services due to the rise in the price of everything. “We are forced to increase the fee due to inflation. We need to pay rents and feed a family. The increase was needed,” he said.
