Comedian Raju Srivastava Passes Away at the Age of 58

Raju Srivastava, an actor-comedian, died on Wednesday at the age of 58 in Delhi, confirmed by his family.

Last month, he went into cardiac arrest while working out at a city gym. He was admitted to AIIMS and had an angioplasty. He was believed to be very ill and to have been on a ventilator for more than a month. Raju’s health turned for the worst early this week, despite showing signs of improvement.

Earlier, about Raju’s condition, his daughter had also told that there is no improvement in her father’s condition. While on the ventilator, Raju’s body was not responding to medicine and treatment.

Talking about the career of Raju Srivastava, this Kanpur-born comedian is famous all over the world due to his comedy. In films, Raju made his debut with Salman Khan’s film Maine Pyar Kiya. After this, he worked in films like ‘Baazigar’, ‘Aamdani Athani Kharkha Rupaiya’, ‘Wah Tera Kya Kehna’, ‘Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon’, ‘Bombay to Goa’ and ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’.

Raju got his real identity from the comedy reality show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’. In this show, Raju entertained a lot of audience by playing a fictional character Gajodhar. Apart from this TV series, Raju also played some important roles in famous TV serials ‘Dekh Bhai Dekh’, ‘Shaktimaan’ and ‘Adalat’.
