As we know, it takes a while to visit a government office and obtain a voter identification card. To simplify this process, the government has made pre-registration accessible online.

A voter ID card provides documentation of nationality and adult franchise. To safeguard their right to vote by using this online service, the Commission is calling Nepali residents who have not yet added their names to the voter list.

The National Election Commission has developed a web-based voter list pre-registration system so that the voter list can be registered online in order to make the work of creating the voter list with photos simpler. On the 28th of Ashad 2079, the Commission chose to make it available by the 29th of Ashad 2079 in 3 districts of the Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur).

Step 6: Scroll down and check the little box to make sure you haven’t already been registered to vote.

Step 7: After that, you will then be required to submit a number of details. Enter all of the information accurately (Permanent address, Personal details, etc.) and continue.

Step 8: After that, you must visit the District Election Office after completing the online registration process. You should print out the online form and bring the required documentation for proof along with you. You will be required to give your fingerprint for the ID along with your live photo.
