The makers of KGF: Chapter 2 have launched digital avatars of the film’s lead actor Yash on the metaverse.
Initially, three digital avatars as NFTs have been made available, Bombay Rocky, Narachi Rocky, and Toofan Rocky- based on the characters of Yash in the magnum opus.
The sale of these virtuals characters went live on April 6, a week ahead of the release date in cinemas on April 14. The sale received a great response, with the first 500 NFTs sold in just 10 minutes.
In ‘KGFverse’, fans can enjoy, explore and experience its protagonist Rocky Bhai’s world in Metaverse.
The ‘KGF franchise has now become the quickest to sell out 1000 NFT tokens in India. ‘KGFverse’ is a digital avatar-based universe dedicated to fans.
In the future, the makers will be enabling the fan community to build a series of virtual environments and games as an extension of the franchise into the Metaverse.
Fans can become part of an exclusive club that gives them access to avatars, props, land parcels, and other memorabilia from the movie in the form of NFTs.
Members will also get exclusive access to other NFTs, surprise airdrops, and the opportunity to attend in-person events of the movie, ‘KGF: Chapter 2’.
Earlier, the makers of Prabhas-starrer Radhe Shyam and Ajay Devgan’s Rudra also had their metaverse version. The makers of Jhund, which starred Amitabh Bachchan, had also created two NFTs for celebrating the film.
