In an alarming case, Nepal recorded as many as 1,090 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
According to the most recent Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) data, 6,300 people had undergone COVID-19 tests in the previous 24 hours. One thousand of them were diagnosed with the disease.
With 1,090 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed on Tuesday, the nation’s novel coronavirus tally has reached 991,185.
Currently, there are 5,806 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation of which, 213 are admitted to institutional isolation while 5,593 patients are placed in home isolation. Out of which 61 are in ICU and seven are on ventilator support.
Meanwhile, 438 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours.
Nepal has now recorded 973,405 cases of recovery, and the recovery rate is at 98.2 percent.
Two fatalities related to COVID-19 were recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the MoHP. So far, Nepals’ COVID-19 death toll has reached 11,974.
Similarly, the Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday recorded 387 new cases. Of them, 304 were detected in Kathmandu, 21 in Bhaktapur, and 62 in Lalitpur districts.
