Nepal national team is set to welcome nine players expelled by Abdullah Almutairi after temporarily being taken over by Pradeep Humagain. Forty players have been called up for the friendly match against Bangladesh on Asoj 11.
The acting head coach for the match Pradip Humagain has called up the players for the match to be played in Kathmandu. Abdullah Almutairi’s future is still uncertain as the football association executive committee is yet to decide.
Humagain was appointed as the acting head coach for the friendly by the executive committee meeting on Thursday. Nepal national team is set to feature in a friendly against Bagladesh on Asoj 11 at the Dasarath Stadium.
Nepal national team was in chaos following a feud among players and the coach during a close camp before AFC qualifiers. The called-up players also include nine out of ten players whom coach Abdullah Almutairi allegedly expelled.
Rohit Chand, Anjan Bista, Bimal Gharti Magar, Ananta Tamang, Bishal Rai, Bishal Shrestha, Sujal Shrestha, Tej Tamang, and Dinesh Rajbanshi has been included in the squad. However, Suman Lama, one of the revolt players has been excluded.
