Any eager Nepali has the potential to travel to Mars if given the right opportunity. A young and enthusiastic Nepali started a company from scratch in the USA which is now making millions of dollars. This only demonstrates how Nepal lacks a proper, reliable platform to display its unexplored potential.

Sambhav Thapaliya is one of the founders of Zebec Protocol in addition to being the Chief Architect and Co-Founder of ASMI. Born during Nepal’s civil war, Sambhav Thapaliya has overcome every obstacle that life has presented to him. Sambhav, who goes by the alias Sam, is one of the Web 3.0 enthusiasts, AI engineers, businesspeople, and programmers.

Growing up on the outskirts of Bharatpur, Chitwan wasn’t easy. However, Sam had already made up his mind to be successful in whatever case at such a young age. Sam was born on June 28, 1998, into a middle-class home where his parents actively encouraged him to get a better education.

Sam always had a keen interest in programming since the age of 13 years old. To further expand his programming knowledge and skills, Sam decided to study in Atherton, California, the heart of Silicon Valley. After graduating from high school in 2017, Sam moved to California, United States, to pursue his undergraduate degree in technology and programming. He enrolled at Menlo College located in California.

ASMI

Sam along with his partner David Thomas co-founded ASMI in 2018, while Sam was still a college student. He received the Menlo College 2020 Entrepreneurship and Innovation Award for his company, ASMI. Sam has also filed a patent for “System and method for in-video product insertion and in-video purchase capability using augmented reality,” the technology used in ASMI.

Zebec

In 2021, Sam built Zebec System, a continuous settlement protocol on Solana, and began his trip to Web 3.0.

Zebec is a startup that aims to change the way money is transferred. The company wishes to improve the processes for paying personnel, managing subscriptions and vesting tokens. The Zebec protocol’s long-term goal is to facilitate huge, direct financial transactions between sender and receiver. This includes the removal of all third-party individuals. The company’s main goal is to create a system in which workers get their payments instantaneously.

Being as humble as he could be, Sam has given credit for the company’s success to his team and all the hard work they have put in. He has become a role model for every new startup and has suggested every new starter have a good selection on the team with a strong work ethic.

In an interview, Sam emphasizes how Nepalis aren’t getting the exposure they needed. He further goes on to say that Nepalis put every blood and sweat into anything presented to them. Furthermore, even though Nepal has nothing to provide to new starters, he shows his gratitude and pride for being a part of Nepal. Sam has pledged to provide Nepalis who are enthusiastic and curious with support.

Zebec Protocol has 27 investors, including GoldenTree Asset Management and Alameda Research. Currently, over 250 projects are building various companies around the Zebec protocol. The company aims to create a world in which there is no faith in payroll.
